However, if the treatment is repeated over time, your muscles will be ‘retrained’ by the weakening effect of Botox, reducing the strength of the contractions which cause wrinkles in the first place. As this occurs, the length between treatments can extend, and twice yearly injections can be enough to maintain the results.
